We have an ITEM BUNDLE for a 10kVA Grid-Connected Solar System with a Battery Back-Up.
What this product is....is a preconfigured and predesigned stock item made by us here in our Warehouse. This will run a residential system up to a max 10kVA. What this means is that you can run the basics quite comfortably in your house. This would include: lights; fridge; freezer; alarm system; televisions; laptops; phones and small load appliances. Not large load appliances such as pool pump; geyser; air-conditioners; irons; tumble dryers etc.
How it works?
The solar panels produce DC POWER, this is then sent through the Inverter which changes DC POWER into AC POWER which is the same type of power we need to run our appliances etc.
In this type of system we have 3 sources of power. Solar Power; Battery Power and The National Grid Power.
It is the Inverters job to tell the DB board where to get the power from, how it uses that power simultaneously or to keep safety in check. (I.E a maximum of 10kVA)
When the solar panels are producing PV power is used, IF there is NO PV power then the power will come from the batteries, IF there is NO battery power then Grid Power will be used, IF all 3 are not available then YOU WILL HAVE NO POWER.
The aim of the system is to maximise on what power there is available and when to A) Have power B) Save cost.
The solar panels produce power in the day and that power is then used to run the appliances and to ensure that the batteries remain charged. This is FREE POWER B) save Cost. The batteries will kick in at night when there is no solar power and The Grid is off, this is then A) have power.
When the system or the owner of the house uses either more than 10kVA or more than what is available, The Grid will be used. The DB board of the house is wired that only those circuits with small loads will be on the solar circuits, other large loads will be on The Grid.
The 10kVA system is ideally suited to an average household and is the more affordable option.

What does the system consists of?
Solar Panels with the mounting structures for either IBR/Iron or Tiled roof
A Victron Grid-Tie Inverter/Charger; MPPT Solar charge controller and Venus GX system controller all on a mild steel backplate pre-wired and configured.
A battery back-up choice between AGM batteries or Lithium-Ion battery
Installation on site is a two full days, if no complications arise from your DB board state, weather or other uncontrollable happenings
